Saudi monarch issues new royal decrees

Saudi Arabia's cabinet, headed by King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, on Tuesday issued a number of resolutions.

The Council approved the Kingdom's accession to the Association of Indian Ocean States as a dialogue partner, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete the necessary formalities, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The decisions included authorizing the chairman of the Saudi Space Authority – or his deputy – to discuss with the members of the Arab Space Cooperation Group to be established, regarding the draft statute of the Arab Space Cooperation Group, to sign it, and then to submit the final signed copy, to complete the necessary formalities.

The Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the General Directorate of Saudi Financial Investigations at the Head of State Security in the Kingdom and the Financial Information Unit of the Argentine Republic with respect to cooperation in the exchange of investigations related to combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

The decisions included the approval of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund to apply for membership in the Investors Club in the long term, in accordance with the club's bylaws.
