Saudi Arabia: Imprisonment and Fine for those who decorate bouquets of flowers in banknotes

Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) plans to prevent florists from using chemical solutions to decorate bouquets used in social events, damaging banknotes.

According to the newspaper "Okaz" Saudi Arabia that SAMA vowed to apply the penal system for counterfeiting money, which stressed that anyone who deliberately changes the features of money circulating system in Saudi Arabia or distorted or torn or washed by chemical means or lose weight or size or partially damaged by any means punishable by imprisonment For a period ranging between 3 and 5 years and a fine of not less than 3000 riyals and not exceeding 10,000 riyals or either of these two penalties.

She pointed out that during the past period, many owners of damaged paper money demanded to be replaced with other papers.

In this context, the ban on decorating the roses was the most widely circulated in the Kingdom, with many expressing support for this approach, while others denounced it.
