Nantes fans protest against Mogi Bayat – football news

Last weekend, several hundred supporters of Nantes took to the streets to complain about the current state of affairs at the club. They mainly targeted the Belgian broker Mogi Bayat, who has a large share in the club’s incoming transfers.

Yassine El-Ghanassy, Guillaume Gillet, Kara Mbodj, Moses Simon, Christian Benavente, Renaud Emond, Joris Kayembe, …. Nantes has always had a few ex-Jupiler Pro League players available in recent years. That is the responsibility of one man: Mogi Bayat.

Before the match against Marseille this weekend, several hundred supporters came to protest at the Stade de la Beaujoire. Nantes was about to be relegated before the match, so supporters were dissatisfied with the policies of their chairman, Waldemar Kita. They especially blame the Polish chairman for collaborating a lot with Mogi Bayat on transfers. In France, there is also a judicial investigation into the collaboration between Waldemar Kita and Bayat.

Due to the 1-1 draw against Marseille this weekend, Nantes moved up a spot. They are now 17th, just above the relegation zone. They do count as many points as the eighteenth in the ranking, Lorient. Next weekend the cellar cracker Nîmes-Nantes is on the program. Can Nantes move up in the standings by winning from nineteenth in the ranking?
