Embracer Group currently has 150 (!) Games in development

Embracer Group has been in the news regularly in recent months, because this Swedish company has recently bought up a very large number of studios. Studios large or small: Embracer Group threw a lot of money on the table to buy them up. Gearbox Entertainment, known from the Borderlands franchise, was recently added to that list. It will probably not surprise anyone that the company currently has a lot of games in development.

About 150 games are currently in the works, of which more than 70 are so-called “Premium Games”. This term is used because these games should be released in the course of the next fiscal year, so between April 2021 and April 2022. Of course, the identity of all these games was not released, but we already know some titles that the developers under this company will release. For example, “Monster Jam Steel Titans 2” will be released on March 2nd and “Biomutant” has also been released on May 25th. MotoGP 21 has also been announced and Dead Island 2 will hopefully be released some day.

Embracer Group sees it as grand and is ubiquitous at the moment. Will they ever stop buying studios or is this just the beginning? Time will tell…
