Election posters Rutte and De Jonge plastered with swastikas and Nazi texts

Election posters have been plastered with swastikas and other Nazi references in several places in the country. In Westervoort, for example, a hitler mustache has been drawn on the photo of VVD leader and outgoing prime minister Mark Rutte and the posters say ‘houzee’, a greeting used by the NSB.

The posters were hung at four locations in Westervoort last Saturday. “Immediately a few hours later it was already hit”, VVD party chairman Roderick ten Kortenaar told Omroep Gelderland. A new poster was hung in one place on Sunday, but it was also defaced. “There are also posters of other parties, but they are not smudged.”
