Turkey: 12 PKK militants are “neutralized” in northern Syria

Ankara, 03 May 13:41 – (Nova Agency) – Turkish security forces have “neutralized” at least twelve militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Syria. The Turkish government news agency “Anadolu” reports. The Turkish defense ministry said in a Twitter that “12 Pkk / Ypg terrorists who opened fire and attempted to infiltrate the territory of the Peace Source operation to disturb peace and stability have been neutralized by our heroic troops” . Like the European Union and the United States, Turkey also classifies the PKK as a terrorist organization. Popular protection units (Ypg) are considered by Ankara as an emanation of the Pkk in Syria. In the north of the latter, Ankara launched the Source of Peace operation in October 2019. (Your) © Agenzia Nova – Reproduction reserved
