Polestar 2: production is underway

ARRIVES IN SUMMER (BUT NOT IN ITALY) – China, the country that was first affected by the coronavirus pandemic, after taking rigorous containment measures, is slowly returning to normal, with the resumption of production activities. Among these also the Polestar, luxury brand of Volvo (part of the Chinese group Geely), which has started the production of the electric sedan Polestar 2 at the Luqiao plant owned by Geely but managed by Volvo. The first cars produced are destined for Europe, where marketing is expected by the summer in Germany, Belgium, Sweden, UK, Norway, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Then it will be the vote of China and the United States.

POWER IS NOT MISSING – La Polestar 2 is a direct rival electric five-door sedan of the Tesla Model 3. Characterized by a personal look with taut lines, smooth surfaces and refined details, the Polestar 2, which is 460 cm long (10 cm less than the Model 3), has two electric motors that supply 408 HP and 660 Nm of torque powered by a 78 kWh battery, which will allow an autonomy of about 500 km on a single charge (compatibility with fast columns up to 150 kW of power is provided). The Polestar 2, which will initially be offered in the “launch edition” version for 59,900 euros (price referred to the German market), allows the car to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds.
