While the bank branches are closed environments and the branches are generally crowded, the precautions taken regarding the issue were not sufficient while risking their health to their employees.
BANKS CLOSE / WILL BE CLOSED?
Banks decided to close their branches in shopping malls, airports and business centers due to their higher risk in their first decisions.
The toughest decision on this matter was decided by Garanti Bank, Akbank and İşbank, and 3 banks decided to close these branches by determining their branches as well as those branches.
In some banks, in order to ensure the safety of their employees, they decided to limit the number of customers entering at the same time according to the square meters of the branches.
The first evaluation made by financial experts states that even if a general curfew is declared, some bank branches will be kept open and citizens’ money will be accessed.
BRSA ANNOUNCED: WORKING HOURS OF BANKS CHANGED!
BRSA has sent an urgent recommendation decision to all banks with a last-minute code.
In the announced decision, “The working hours of the branches and service units that serve the customers directly and the customer acceptance hours are determined as 12:00 – 17:00.
Banks will be able to determine working and customer acceptance hours flexibly, they will inform their customers about the working and customer acceptance hours of banks, branches and service units. “We will continue to provide uninterrupted service through alternative service channels for the provision of banking services through digital media.”
HOW WILL THE BANKS OPEN AND CLOSE?
According to the announced decision, banks that comply with this decision will open their branches by 12:00 and close them by 17:00.
