Zvi Hauser: I will vote against Shaked’s overcoming clause

Member of Knesset Zvi Hauser today (Sunday) referred to MK Ayelet Shaked’s bill that will be tabled next Wednesday in a preliminary reading, in which it is required to enact the ruling overcoming the High Court.

Hauser said he would vote “against an overcoming clause that would shake government stability – we are in favor of a unity government.”

He added: “A unity government is better than any other alternative. In 3 months we will have a corona virus, a flu virus and a household collapse virus, it is impossible to add an election virus either.”

Last night, coalition chairman MK Miki Zohar tweeted: “I would recommend that Netanyahu support the overcoming clause that will come up this week. We must not go against our voters.”

Zohar refers to Ayelet Shaked’s bill, which aims to stop the disqualification of laws by the High Court, as it did, for example, in the Infiltrators Law, and now the Nationality Law (which is a basic law) is under discussion.
