Zulte Waregem is startled: concussion and skull fracture for keeper

There is currently a lot of shock at Zulte Waregem and AA Gent. Goalkeeper Sammy Bossut of Zulte Waregem was seriously injured in the exhibition game with the Gentenaren. He had to be removed by stretcher.


Bossut was taken to hospital. He was diagnosed with a concussion and skull fracture. After a heavy collision with an opponent, 34-year-old Bossut went wrong. The incident happened 15 minutes before the time when former Excelsior player Jordan Botaka collided with him.

Zulte Waregem won the game against AA Gent 2-1, but afterwards it is mainly about Bossut’s health. The club has already announced that he has a concussion and skull fracture. Bossut is transferred to the University Hospital in Ghent.

Bossut has been under contract with Zulte Waregem since 2006. He played more than 400 games Essevee.
