The number of residents in our region who tested positive for the coronavirus increased by 13 cases last week.
This is evident from the RIVM’s overview of figures. Westland has 5 new infections, Maassluis 7 and Midden-Delfland 1. At this moment, the test was positive for 444 inhabitants of our region. With 309, Westland has the highest number of infections, followed by Maassluis (102) and Midden-Delfland (33).
The number of corona patients admitted to hospital has been stable for some time. Westland has 57 admissions, Maassluis 20 and Midden-Delfland 4. The number of deaths also remains unchanged (30 in Westland, 9 in Maassluis and 0 in Midden-Delfland.
Since 1 June, everyone in the Netherlands with (mild) complaints can have themselves tested for COVID-19. People can register for a test in the GGD test streets in Naaldwijk, Maassluis and Hoek van Holland. The GGD employee takes some material from the throat and nose with a cotton swab. The results will follow within 48 hours.
