Prime Minister Mark Rutte and ministers Hugo de Jonge and Tamara van Ark must answer to the House of Representatives on Wednesday about the new advance of the corona virus in the Netherlands. Watch this live with the debate.
The debate has been requested by the opposition, led by Lodewijk Asscher. The PvdA leader says he is concerned about the rapidly increasing number of infections in our country. The cabinet announced new measures last Thursday. Some existing corona rules were also tightened.
Concerns in case of opposition
Yet the opposition is not satisfied. For example, there are concerns about the situation in hot spots such as Rotterdam and Amsterdam, where the number of new infections has been high for a long time. The ministers must also explain capacity problems at some GGDs, as a result of which the source and contact investigation threatens to be limited.
