Warner Bros. Games not for sale after all, owner AT&T withdraws

It has been rumored for some time that the owner of Warner Bros. Games, AT&T, would be planning to sell the publisher and various developers underneath. The reason for this would be to pay off outstanding bills, which could be covered by the sale of the games division.

A new message from the CEO now indicates that the company will be subject to a number of structural changes with Warner Bros. Games remains part of the network of studios. This makes a possible sale seem off the moon, but the CEO writes that it will be a difficult time.

The timing is striking, because the company was never officially put up for sale, but it does show that a lot was going on behind the scenes. This also follows shortly after the teaser about the Suicide Squad game that is under development at Rocksteady. This game will be officially revealed later this month.
