This weekend the time has finally come, when the Jupiler Pro League will get going again. The Belgian competition has already been redesigned as a result of the fact that the media rights came into the hands of Eleven Sports. The rights holder also reached an agreement with the VRT on Thursday.
The Flemish public broadcaster announced on its official website that it has concluded an agreement with Eleven that will run for the next five seasons. With this agreement, VRT retains the rights to the Monday evening magazine. This allows Extra Time to continue to be broadcast. The program of Frank Raes and Filip Joos is entering its twelfth year.
In addition, the radio reports will remain with Radio 1, match images will be shown on the Sporza website and app and VRT also obtained the summaries of the first class from the ladies’ home. In contrast, some Sporza commentators will be made available to Eleven. “This is how Filip Joos, Peter Vandenbempt and Aster Nzeyimana will be seen and heard through Eleven Sports”, it says.
It is not yet clear on which open channel the summaries will be shown. It is also not yet certain whether the match will continue to be broadcast on Telenet.
