Van Haaren played in the Netherlands for Excelsior, Feyenoord, FC Dordrecht, VVV-Venlo and ADO Den Haag. Abroad he wore the shirt of Dinamo București, Sanliurfaspor, Trencin, Slovan Bratislava and Olimpia Grudziadz. Van Haaren was transfer-free after his departure from Poland.
Van Haaren was approached by Quick Boys a week ago. “I then had a good conversation with the trainer and the club management. It was a conscious choice to return to the Netherlands. Due to the corona crisis, clubs are waiting a long time to attract players. Moreover, I have had some great adventures in abroad. There football is played differently than here. Nobody takes those experiences away from me anymore. ”
Van Haaren is not the first big name that Quick Boys manages to bring in. The club has already strengthened itself with Kevin Jansen and Ruud Boymans. Jansen has already left and now plays for Dordrecht.
