Twente assumes ‘safe’ Rotterdam: ‘Only in contact with tested persons’

FC Twente travels without worries to De Kuip, where it will play a friendly match against Feyenoord on Sunday. At that club, two players have tested positive for corona, but the Tukkers assume that it can be played safely.

Paul van der Kraan, director of FC Twente, swears that his club will proceed carefully. “There is contact between the team doctors and security people from both clubs,” he said Algemeen Dagblad. “On arrival at the stadium, the players get off the bus immediately towards the dressing room and only come into contact with people who have been tested. Then you can assume that it is safe to play the match.”

Earlier, Feyenoord club doctor Casper van Eijck said that Feyenoord can play football despite the two infections in the selection. The duel between the two Eredivisionists, which is scheduled for next Sunday, can therefore continue. Earlier, the match between FC Twente and Fortuna had to be postponed for ten minutes because the Limburgers only came to the stadium when they knew that all corona tests at Twente were negative.
