Trump said Tuesday that he thinks Harris is the “most terrible” member of the US Senate. Trump told journalists that he was not impressed by Harris when she previously competed for the Democratic Party’s nomination as presidential candidate. “I was especially surprised because she was doing so badly,” Trump said of Biden’s choice of Harris as running mate.

Trump described Harris’s criticism of Biden in the Democratic primaries as “dismal, very dismal.” According to Trump, Harris was disrespectful to Biden. “And it’s hard to choose someone so disrespectful,” Trump said.

The president also referred to the Senate hearings of Conservative Chief Justice Brett Kavanaugh, then still a candidate for the Supreme Court. Harris troubled Kavanaugh after stories emerged of sexual misconduct in his college days. Harris was “the meanest, most awful, most disrespectful of anyone in the Senate,” Trump said.

The president posted a campaign spot on Twitter in which Biden and Harris are fiercely lashed out. In it Harris is referred to as “the radical left”. Slow Joe and fake Kamala. Perfect together. Bad for America ”, can be heard at the end of the so-called ‘attack ad’.

Mike Pence, Trump’s current Republican vice president and running mate, chose to congratulate Harris. “See you in Salt Lake City,” said Pence, who debates with Harris on October 7 in the state capital of Utah.

Obama: Good Day for Our Country

Democratic party celebrities welcome the choice of presidential candidate Joe Biden for Kamala Harris as vice-presidential candidate. Former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and former presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Al Gore, among others, made themselves heard on Twitter. Former competitor for the Democratic candidacy Bernie Sanders has also supported Harris’s choice.

“I’ve known Senator Kamala Harris for a long time,” writes Barack Obama. “She is more than prepared for the job. She has defended our constitution throughout her career and fought for those who need a fair chance. This is a good day for our country. ”

Bill Clinton calls Biden’s choice for Harris “excellent.” Harris, he says, will be a good partner for Biden. Clinton thinks the two will make a strong team.

‘Excellent leader’

Hillary Clinton, who lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump as a Democratic presidential candidate, says she is “enthusiastic” about Harris’s choice. “She has already proven herself as an excellent government servant and leader.”

Al Gore, who lost the 2000 presidential election to George W. Bush and previously served as vice president under Bill Clinton, writes that Biden made an exceptionally good choice with Harris. “Kamala has made climate and environmental justice a top priority in her career as a civil servant, and I am sure she will continue to be a strong advocate for that in the White House,” Gore writes.

Co-Senator Bernie Sanders, who competed with Harris and Biden in the Democratic primaries, congratulates Harris, “who will make history as our next vice president.” “She understands what it takes to stand up for workers, to fight for health care for all and to bring down the most corrupt government in history,” said Sanders.
