The new Director General of the Ministry of Justice: Adv. Shimi Brown

Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn today (Wednesday) submitted to the Civil Service Commissioner the appointment of attorney Shimon (Shimi) Brown to the position of Director General of the Ministry of Justice. Brown will replace Adv. Sigal Yaakobi, who has temporarily held the position alongside her role as official receiver.

Brown specializes in civil law and administrative law – corporate law, labor law, administrative law, constitutional law and litigation.

According to the Minister of Justice, Brown, currently a partner in the law firm of Marinberg-Brown & Co., has been involved in the field of law for 20 years and has extensive experience in legal management. Brown also serves as the secretary of Kibbutz Shefayim and as the legal advisor of the Blue and White Party (positions he will complete upon approval of his appointment as CEO).

Minister Nissenkorn said: “Attorney Brown is a person with rich legal and managerial experience and is endowed with high social sensitivity. I am confident that he will lead the Ministry of Justice in the most professional and valued manner. ”

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart Adv. Sigal Yaakovi, who took on the role of Deputy CEO and did so with great dedication and great talent. Adv. Yaakovi will continue to serve as the Custodian General and the official receiver in the Ministry of Law.
