In the semi-final against Hapoel Gilboa, Galil Maccabi won a three-pointer by Scotty Wilbkin 2.7 seconds to go and went up to 78:81, but according to the professional committee, a “serious mistake was made that did not offend Gilboa (Yiftach Ziv) in the closing seconds”, even before the decisive move of Maccabi star.
In the final against Hapoel Rishon LeZion, in which Maccabi won 81:86, Daryl Monroe was sent off for a fifth offense, 35 seconds to go when the Yellows led by a point. Amara Studmeier as I recall scored the two penalty shots and from there the road to the plate was easier.
The committee also determined that Wilbkin’s dismissal in the quarterfinals against Hapoel Tel Aviv was correct and that there were no mistakes in the first derby in the playoff quarterfinals. The decisive one in the semi-final between Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Rishon LeZion.
