The best football broadcasts of this weekend: Ajax is back!

The weekend has started again and with tropical temperatures it promises to be a hot weekend. Players will also want to fire on the football field, because there are big, important games on the program. For example, the Champions League continues tonight and Ajax will also enter the football fields again.

Saturday, August 8

Now that many are on vacation and others are melting from the tropical temperatures, many are looking to cool off outside. Understandable of course, but those who fancy a wonderful evening of sport can also cool off there. Saturday has a full program that you don’t want to miss!

Below is a selection of the best broadcasts of 8 August:

6.45 p.m. on FOX Sports 1: Ajax – RKC, 8.30 p.m. on Ziggo Sport: UEFA Champions League: Bayern Munich – Chelsea, 8.30 p.m. on Ziggo Sport Football: UEFA Champions League: FC Barcelona – Napoli

We kick off the sweltering Saturday with the practice match that many have been looking forward to for months. Ajax can dock for a practice match against RKC Waalwijk. Due to a substantial presence on the transfer market, a lot has changed within the selection of the team from Amsterdam, making it interesting to see how the match will go tonight.

As soon as the practice match in the Eredivisie has been played, you can join the biggest matches of the evening. The Champions League just continues. After Juventus and Real Madrid were eliminated by Olympique Lyon and Manchester City respectively on Friday night, it will be Bayern Munich, Chelsea, FC Barcelona and Napoli tonight.

Where Chelsea has to make up for three goals in an away match at Bayern Munich, it can still go in all directions at FC Barcelona – Napoli. There was a draw in the home game in Italy (1-1). It will also be a nice evening to see who will go to the quarter finals.

Sunday, August 9

There is no Champions League on the program for Sunday, but it can still be enjoyed at a rapid pace. The Comback on FOX Sports will continue with three exhibition games. Each of a different level, so there is a nice pot for everyone to enjoy.

Below is a selection of the best broadcasts from 9 August:

12.15 pm on FOX Sports 1: FC Dordrecht – NAC, 2.30 pm on FOX Sports 1: Feyenoord – Sparta, 2.30 pm on FOX Sports 2: De Graafschap – FC Volendam, 4.45 pm on FOX Sports 1: Heracles Almelo – PEC Zwolle

The comeback of the Eredivisie is in full swing and that is something that we as Dutch football fans are only too happy about. On Sunday we kick off with FC Dordrecht, who will compete against NAC in-house. Still, it’s the pot later in the afternoon that we’re most looking forward to. The Rotterdam derby is on the program.

On FOX Sports 1, Feyenoord and Sparta are preparing for a city match that for now has to be scaled under the exhibition game category. Still, it is a nice pot for Rotterdammers and it is therefore expected that both clubs will go all out for the win. If that doesn’t turn out to be a nice afternoon, we won’t know anymore!
