The weather on holiday:

Benelux: The temperature will also rise considerably in the rest of the Benelux in the coming days. Due to a high pressure area above the south of Scandinavia, we have to deal with a lot of sun. In the south of the Benelux it can reach 30 to 32 degrees. The Northern Netherlands has to do with ‘only’ 25 to 27 degrees.

Germany: In the south of Germany, many cloud fields are still present on Wednesday, making it no warmer than about 18 to 21 degrees. Temperatures are rising in the rest of the country due to a high-pressure area above Scandinavia. It can get 27 degrees in the north in the afternoon.

Norway: The coming days will remain changeable in Norway. On Wednesday mainly in the south there will be a splash of rain. The midday temperature ranges from 10 degrees in cloudy areas to locally 18 degrees where the sun shines longer.

Austria and Switzerland: On Wednesdays it is practically dry in Austria and Switzerland. Sun and cloud alternate and it becomes about 10 degrees on the peaks and up to 21 degrees in the valleys.

France: It will be very hot in France on Wednesday. In most places it gets around 30 degrees, in the south of the country it can even reach 34 degrees. Only the northwest of France is slightly affected by some clouds.

Spain and Portugal: On Wednesday it will be cloudy in many places, but it will remain dry. Inland it can get very hot in Spain and Portugal, with temperatures as high as 40 degrees.

Italy: The heavy thunderstorms of the past few days will disappear from Wednesday and will not return for the time being. However, this does not mean that it will remain dry everywhere, because the southern half in particular may still be affected by (local) rain and thunderstorms. The temperature is between 23 and 28 degrees.
