That Romelu Lukaku is working on a great first season at Inter Milan sounds like an understatement. On Wednesday he was again of gold value for the Nerazzurri with a goal in the Europa League against Getafe.
Partly because of this, Inter can prepare for the quarterfinals of the Europa League. Also The Gazzetta dello Sport was full of praise for the Red Devil after his goal: “A deadly mix of power and precision that launches Inter to the Final Eight”, the leading Italian sports newspaper reports.
In those quarterfinals, Lukaku faces a new milestone in his career. Namely being able to pass that round for the first time. In a European tournament, Big Rom did not get further than that quarter final (When Chelsea won the CL he was not part of the selection). And that is quite surprising given his great career at the age of 27. Time to get rid of that statistic next week.
[Gazzetta dello Sport] Yes Inter! Lukaku still decisive, Eriksen also scores. Tale “We are becoming a difficult team”
