Significant contamination with the toxic PFAS, a collective name for chemical substances that cause a stir, has been found at the Opel site in the port of Antwerp. The consequences of an extinguishing foam tank that was in the ground. For the first time, the OVAM waste agency in Flanders is starting a remediation project for the stuff. However, the bill goes to the previous owner of the site, General Motors.
