An explosion of webcam sex
The corona pandemic and the smart lockdown are triggering unprecedented changes in the media and in our media use. Studying via Instagram, working via Zoom and partying via Houseparty. The lockdown sparked an explosion of webcam sex, the neighbor turned out to be a fitness guru and the hairdresser gave online courses to keep corona cuts in check. At the same time, traditional media had to contend with collapsing advertising revenues, five-foot measures in television studios and sports broadcasts without sporting events to report on.
During Media in Crisisijd Live, Presenter Harm Edens looks back on media developments during the first corona wave. For example, he talks to Beau van Erven Dorens about his corona program Beau Stay Within, with which he quickly responded to the situation as a television maker. Media scientists Linda Duits and Mark Deuze highlight the developments in the media landscape and of course media heroes such as Orgel Joke, who brings music into the living room, Samuel Levie who supports the local entrepreneur with his Support Your Locals, and the online quiz Upbeatles, which provides national quiz entertainment. this evening will not be missing.
