Sergio Perez has got rid of corona and can race in GP of Spain | formula 1

Sergio Perez will race for Racing Point again this weekend in the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Spain. The Mexican missed 2 races at Silverstone after a positive corona test, now he tested negative for the virus.

Sergio Perez missed the past two GPs at the Silverstone circuit after it became clear that he had become infected with the corona virus. He contracted the infection when he traveled to Mexico after the GP in Hungary to assist his sick mother.

Perez only had mild symptoms and is fit to race. “I was lucky that I had so little trouble with it and was able to keep training,” says Perez. “Now I am ready to get back behind the wheel. It hurt to watch the GP on TV.”

Nico Hülkenberg was Perez’s stand-in in Silverstone. The German was not very happy with his first appearance. Just before the start, there was a technical problem with his car, which ultimately prevented him from driving a meter. Last weekend, Hülkenberg finished 7th, after surprising qualifying with third place.
