Scouts of Dutch clubs in stands at VVCS: ‘It’s all about for our players’

Team VVCS is disappointed with the canceled match against sc Heerenveen last Tuesday. The practice matches in the preparation are an excellent opportunity for the transfer-free football players of VVCS to play themselves in the spotlight.

“A number of scouts had already registered for this,” Arjan Ebbinge, team manager of Team VVCS, starts talking to Football International. “The latter is mandatory. Under that condition, clubs can always come and watch, we have made that agreement with all our practice opponents. Even if a match has a private character, scouts must still be able to be present. That’s what it’s all about for our players . ”

Next Friday, Team VVCS will play against Jong PSV. Again there will be scouts along the line, mainly from Dutch clubs. It is hoped that this competition will continue. “We assume. We do everything to prevent any risk of corona spread,” continues Ebbinge. “If the results of all other players are negative on Thursday, we can just play against Jong PSV.”

Young Ajax
John van Loen, the trainer of Team VVCS for the third year, notices that his team is a popular practice opponent. After the match against Jong PSV there will also be played against Almere City and PEC Zwolle. “We had to cancel four other opponents,” says the trainer. “Young Ajax, for example, also wanted to play against us. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time for that. We can’t play three games a week. Good training is also very important to us.”
