Remarkable news from Amsterdam: the coronavirus has made a big splash at Ajax. De Telegraaf reports on Tuesday evening that thirteen players and members of the club’s staff have antibodies against Covid-19 in their blood.

“It is true that a number of players and staff members have had the coronavirus,” confirms head of communication Miel Brinkhuis. “I want to emphasize that there is currently no one who has corona and – except Andre Onana, who has mild ankle complaints – everyone was present at the training on Tuesday.”

Ajax tests weekly for the corona virus and has chosen to test all trainers and players of the first team, Jong Ajax and all staff around the two teams. This in consultation with the University Medical Center. Because of this, the club from Amsterdam tries to get a good picture of who has been affected by the virus.

It has now emerged that thirteen staff members and players have antibodies against the coronavirus in the blood. None of these thirteen people have suffered from complaints or symptoms.
