Redding wins again, Ducati 1-2 on Sunday afternoon in Jerez

Scott Redding also won the second WorldSBK race of the Pirelli Spanish Round in Jerez on Sunday afternoon. The Briton crossed the finish line after 20 laps before teammate Chaz Davies and Yamaha driver Toprak Razgatlioglu. Michael van der Mark crossed the finish line in seventh place.

The second WorldSBK race of the Pirelli Spanish Round was also won by Scott Redding on Sunday afternoon. The Ducati rider was on a slightly less hot track than Saturday – despite the thermometer still indicating more than 37 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon – fastest for his teammate Chaz Davies who was flagged second and Toprak Razgatlioglu who after the DNF earlier in the day during the Tissot Superpole race now claimed third place.

Behind the three podium finishers, Michael Ruben Rinaldi was fourth, after a well-driven overtaking race, followed by the Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK duo Alex Lowes and Jonathan Rea.

Michael van der Mark had a difficult race after his podium place earlier in the day. The Dutchman clearly could not follow the pace of the front men and had to settle for seventh place in this race.

Alvaro Bautista, Marco Melandri and Gareth Gerloff completed the top ten with eighth, ninth and tenth place respectively in this race.
