Police and fire brigade search for missing boy in the Maas near Reuver | NOW


In the Maas near the Limburg village of Reuver, a boy between twelve and fourteen years has gone missing since Saturday evening, the police reported.

The boy was last seen around 6.55 pm. He would have entered the water and never surfaced afterwards.

Police and fire brigade are on and along the bank looking for the boy. A police and a trauma helicopter have also been deployed.

A fire brigade’s sonar boat picked up a signal at around 9.45 pm. Firefighters have entered the water, but it is still unclear whether it concerns the boy.

Helpful citizens also help with the search, the police report. People who do not help with the search are asked to make room for the emergency services.
