One day before Beerschot finishes the promotion final against OH Leuven, one person in the club has taken a positive corona test. The person in question has no symptoms and was quarantined. All other employees, trainers and players are negative. The game against OHL can and should be played normally.
“One sample is positive in the latest corona tests of Beerschot players, trainers and employees. There was immediate consultation between the medical managers of Beerschot and the Pro League. Beerschot closely follows the strict protocol of the Pro League ”, Beerschot himself announced the news via the club website.
“The person who tested positive has no symptoms and has been quarantined for 7 days. Out of respect for him and his privacy, Beerschot will not reveal his name and will no longer communicate about it. All other employees, trainers and players are negative. The game against OHL can and should just be played. ”
“As the protocol dictates, testing will be repeated on Monday and another test will follow later in the week.”
Certainly from 1A
Friday came all the news that both Beerschot and OHL will be promoted to 1A, but the promotion match still has a sporting commitment. A champion has yet to be determined and the winner may also start a round later at the Belgian Cup. In addition, the Pro League builds in legal guarantees, if Westerlo, as leader of the general classification, still challenges the decisions.
