On Wednesday it was reported that a group of Flemish scouts has been ordered to leave a meadow on which they have been camping since the beginning of August because they were making too much noise.
Scouts en Gidsen Vlaanderen, however, states that none of its scout groups in that region was involved in such an incident. Groups have to register their camp online before they leave, and that registration shows that there is one group in the region at camp who has had no problems with the authorities.
In the meantime, the story has taken on a life of its own on social media, while according to Van Reusel it is not true that it was a scouts group. It may have been a group from another youth movement, says Van Reusel.
