Netherlands tenth on coefficient list; no consequences

The Netherlands has dropped to tenth place on the European coefficient list on Tuesday evening, so you know Football International to report. It was the result of the victory that Shakhtar Donetsk managed to book against Sevilla (4-1).

Due to the bonus points that the team from Ukraine receives for reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, it climbs over the Netherlands. However, with the tenth place, the Netherlands still has a direct Champions League spot for the 2020/2021 Eredivisie champion.

The number eleven on the coefficient list, Turkey, can also no longer overtake the Netherlands. Istanbul Basaksehir was the last club from Turkey that was active in Europe and therefore no more points can be scored. FC Copenhagen managed to eliminate the Turks.

There is also good news for the Netherlands compared to Ukraine. “Ukraine will lose a lot of points next season because the 2015/16 season is canceled, in which it performed relatively well, in any case better than the Netherlands.”
