After a corona outbreak at a factory in Northampton, UK, where sandwiches are made for Marks & Spencer, nearly 300 people tested employees positive for the virus. The Greencore company reports this on Monday.

The company said it was proactively testing employees for the virus after the number of positive infections in the region increased. 79 people were tested by the NHS national health service, the other 213 cases were identified by tests organized by Greencore.

The contacts of the infected employees were traced and asked to be quarantined.

The United Kingdom is the country with the most deaths from corona in Europe.
