According to a reliable source, we will be able to purchase the Microsoft Surface Duo at the end of this month. Microsoft will reveal the dual-screen smartphone to the press next week.
Microsoft introduced the Surface Duo in October last year and the company then promised a launch at the end of this year. However, rumors of an earlier launch are popping up and according to Paul Thurrott the foldable smartphone with two screens will be available at the end of this month.
The technology journalist writes on Twitter that the press has been invited to a presentation on August 12 to get acquainted with a unique device. The invitation does not say which product it is, but according to Paul Thurrott it is about the Microsoft Surface Duo.
Tech-tasty Evan Blass has simultaneously shared several advertising photos on which the Surface Duo is clearly visible from several sides. We see the two screens, the aluminum housing and the camera positions. We also see a lot of Microsoft apps, including the Edge browser. The smartphone has two 5.6-inch AMOLED screens with a hinge in between, so you can open the smartphone like a book. Internally, we will probably find a Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage space. We don’t have a suggested retail price yet.
