The pecking order at Club Brugge has become clear at the cup final. In the attack, Clement chose Krépin Diatta, David Okereke and Charles De Ketelaere. There was no trace of winter purchase Michael Krmencik in the Bruges base eleven.
The 27-year-old attacker came over from Viktoria Plzen last winter for a transfer fee of around 6 million euros. But he hasn’t broken many pots since his transition to the Venice of the North.
So a lot of money for an attacker who is at the bottom of the pecking order. But Club Brugge, just like last season, in which Clement rotated a lot in his vanguard, will have a hellish schedule. So Krmencik will have to take his chances.
