The Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club and the international gaming company Playtika (Playtika) presented today (Wednesday) the main sponsorship agreement signed between them for the next five years.
As part of the agreement, the company logo will appear on the official team uniform and the team name will now be Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. The team’s first official appearance with the new jersey is scheduled for October 1, the date when the Euroleague season is set to open in a game against Alba Berlin.
Club chairman Shimon Mizrahi opened the press conference: “I have the honor and pleasure to open the agreement with the main sponsor. We find many overlapping lines between us and Playtica, the two organizations represent Israel faithfully, Playtica is a games company and we play on the floor. ”
Mizrahi commented on the new agreement with the games company, “It is a long-term contract, I will not touch on the financial scope, but I can say that it is a respectable agreement. The logo is red, I hope that one day it will turn orange and then yellow.”
Nir Korczak, the company’s VP of marketing, added, “Our goal is to create enjoyment for our players and in fact here is the connection to Maccabi that provides enjoyment to their spectators. I have no doubt that this connection will bring with it many achievements and successes, and I hope that we will create many such moments for Maccabi fans and basketball in general. ”
Coach Yannis Sapropoulos said, “We are proud that Pleiatica will serve as our sponsor. Together we will succeed and achieve our goals.”
Team player Omri Caspi concluded, “Can’t wait to wear the new jersey anymore.”
