Three Israeli footballers played in the Polish league this season, and tonight (Sunday) the sports channel’s website learned that another Israeli may land in Poland – Lidor Cohen, who was promoted to the Premier League with Maccabi Petah Tikva.

The striker’s agent, Shlomi Ben – Ezra, confirmed the reports in Poland that Cohen holds offers from Podskiewski and Vigolonia Bialystok from the senior league. In the past, two Israelis, Liran Cohen and Liad Elmaleh, played for Podsbeskidzi.

Now, the striker who left Maccabi Petah Tikva and became a free agent, may be the third in the Polish team, and the second player from the Malabes to go to Europe, after a generation of clubs signed with Zankt Polten.

Cohen helped Maccabi Petah Tikva qualify for the Premier League after only one season in the national team, after scoring 13 goals. Apart from two and a half years at Betar Jerusalem, the striker played throughout his career at Maccabi Petah Tikva.
