After the big win in the away game against Chelsea (0-3), the Germans in Munich never got into trouble again. Thanks to two goals and two assists from Robert Lewandowski it became 4-1.

Halfway through the first half, Bayern already led 2-0 after goals from Lewandowski and Ivan Perisić. Leading actor Lewandowski used a penalty kick after being knocked to the ground by Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero. The penalty appeared to be reversed for offside, but after consulting the VAR, it was nevertheless awarded.

Lewandowski was the principal for both Perisić’s 2-0 and Corentin Tolisso’s 3-1, fifteen minutes before the end. In between – just before half-time – Tammy Abraham made it 2-1, but it never became exciting in the Allianz Arena. Just before the end Lewandowski also hit goal with a header.
