AMSTERDAM (AFN) – PostNL’s second-quarter results were strong, KBC Securities analysts said. The postal company had also raised its expectations in June, which is why market researchers are now putting their advice on buy, where it was previously hold. They raised the price target to 2.70 euros, from 1.50 euros earlier.

PostNL’s revenue was significantly higher, helped by significantly more parcel deliveries as consumers ordered more items online during the corona crisis. This market will normalize somewhat in the second half of the year, KBC expects, but the number of packages will remain above that of the period before the corona crisis. The analysts believe that at that higher level PostNL can work more efficiently.

ING analysts were satisfied that PostNL’s results were above average expectations. They also point to PostNL’s higher expectations for free cash flow. They think that this combination increases the chance of paying a dividend at the end of the year. ING has a buy advice with a price target of 3.25 euros.

The PostNL share was up 8 percent on Monday at around 10:20 a.m. on 2.23 euros. This made the company the leader in the MidKap.

  1. The stock market value is currently 1.1 billion euros. Far too high for a company whose competition is increasing strongly due to DHL and DPD.SELL

  2. “That market will normalize somewhat in the second half of the year, KBC expects”

Indeed, in March / April / May I still ordered online, but since the shops are ‘normally’ open again, I go out a lot more and have not ordered anything online.

That ‘normalization’ could well have more effect than expected.

    SELL

Gingerbread. These companies all have a capacity problem that will increase prices and also the margin. The only problem with this is that the increased profitability will have to be used for (faster than expected) investments in sorting capacity.

  4. Postnl’s performance is excellent and so are the prospects, say HV and the vast majority of analysts. What more could you want as an investor ??

If you are going to talk like this, you should take a look at Adyen, the price / earnings ratio is completely lost. Looks a bit like the bitcoin scenario. Things will turn out well for Postnl in the future. It is a pity that they have the wrong administrators at the helm. The acquisition of Sandd should never have taken place and the acquisition by Bpost had. In contrast, they would have been better off redoing the entire mail branch to Sandd or another interested person. Post will only continue to press on the result unless you make delivering a letter almost as expensive as a package

That people will buy even more online, and how lucky we are, that will also happen.

    Positive!

How so? There is a limit to some households extra buy online.
