Juventus will play on Saturday without Matthijs de Ligt and Cristiano Ronaldo in the last Serie A game of the season against AS Roma. The Dutchman and the Portuguese star are resting now that the Italian title has already been received.

De Ligt was also missing on Wednesday during the 2-0 loss at Cagliari. The central defender suffers from shoulder complaints and also suffered from his hamstring. Sarri doesn’t seem to be taking any chances with him in view of the return against Olympique Lyon in Friday’s eighth final of the Champions League. The game against the French was lost 1-0.

Ronaldo also remains on the side against Roma. The 35-year-old attacker is therefore stuck with 31 hits in Serie A and must leave the top scorer title to Ciro Immobile. SS Lazio’s goal getter has already scored 35 times and can boost his production on the last day against Napoli.

Besides De Ligt and Ronaldo, the suspended Miralem Pjanic and the injured Paulo Dybala, Douglas Costa, Sami Khedira and Mattia De Sciglio are also missing from Juventus.
