July: Average return of 2.2% in provident funds and study funds – financial consumerism

In July, provident funds and large general education funds are expected to present an average nominal (gross) return of 2.2%, according to estimates. Economists at Meitav Dash Investment House. This is against the background of price increases in the stock markets in Israel and abroad, along with price increases in corporate bonds in Israel.

Industry in July
According to the investment house’s provident fund and pension funds’ performance, similar to the large funds and funds, also in the industry as a whole, yields are expected to range between 1.8% and 2.6%.

Equity provident funds are expected to present a return of about 5.3%, in the range of 3.5% -6.5%. The index provident funds will show a return of about 0.6% in the yield range between 0.3% -0.9%. This, along with an expected return of 0.5% for the shekel provident funds in the yield range between 0.2% and 0.8%.

Pension funds: According to the review, comprehensive pension funds for children up to 50 achieved a return of about 2.7% within a return range of 2.2% -3.5%. Comprehensive pension funds for those aged 50-60 achieved a return of about 2.5% within a return range of 2% -3%. Comprehensive pension funds for those aged 60+ achieved a return of approximately 1.8%, within a return range of 1.5% -2%.

Yields January-July
Since the beginning of the year, the equity provident funds have recorded a negative return of about 7.7%, a yield range of minus 5% to minus 13.0%. The index provident funds showed a negative return of 1.6% in the yield range of minus 1% to minus 2.5%. On the other hand, the shekel provident funds recorded a positive return of 1.5% in the yield range: 2% -1%.

Pension funds: Comprehensive pension funds for those up to 50 have achieved a negative return of about 3%, in the range of returns: minus 2% to minus 5%. Comprehensive pension funds for those aged 50-60 achieved a negative return of about 2.3%, in the range of returns: minus 1.0% to minus 4.5%. Comprehensive pension funds for those aged 60+ achieved a negative return of about 0.9%, in a yield range of plus 2.0% to minus 2.0%.
