Jordi Cruyff returns to the Chinese League. The Dutchman, ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv, who left the Ecuadorian team shortly after signing and without any official game on the lines, has been appointed Chinese coach Shenzhen and thus will return for a second term in the local league after coaching Tsongqing Japan in the past.
Cruyff will have to go into isolation in China before starting his work and meanwhile after four rounds his new team is in sixth place in the table with one single win and three losses. Jordi (46) has been appointed as the replacement for Italian Roberto Donadoni who was sacked along with his entire coaching staff after a bad start.
Shenzhen FC officially announced the appointment of Jordi Cruyff as the new head coach to replace Roberto Donadoni. Gao Lin will take a player coach role as one of his assistants. The 46-year-old Dutch coach, who took charge of Chongqing in 2018/2019, will arrive in on Sunday. pic.twitter.com/opP9JTFpgW

Jordi is of course part of the great success of Maccabi Tel Aviv in the last decade after he was the professional manager and helped a team from Kiryat Shalom to pick up degrees. In his last season in Israel, he served as the team’s coach and from there he moved in the 2018/19 season to Chunching Lipar and from there to Ecuador, where, as mentioned, the term was very short.
