Anderlecht will play its second league game of the season on Sunday and there seems to be a lot of pressure on the kettle against Sint-Truiden. On the opening day of the match, there was a 2-2 draw on the field of KV Mechelen and that was not the result they had hoped for at RSCA. Above all, Anderlecht did not deliver the performance it had hoped for.
And that has caused tension at the club in the past week. Both Het Laatste Nieuws and Sudpresse report that in recent days some heated discussions have taken place between Franky Vercauteren and Vincent Kompany and that the atmosphere at Neerpede was tense. Not that the trainer and captain / manager are suddenly no longer in line, but there seem to be irritations in both.
Vercauteren is said to be unhappy about the fact that some players, such as Vlap, had to deal with cramps in Mechelen at the end of the match. It is expected that some changes will be made to the starting eleven this weekend. Adrien Trebel, among others, seems to be eligible for a basic place.
