Yogev Ohayon will continue at Hapoel Holon for another two years. The team announced last night (Tuesday) that after a series of meetings between the management and the player and his agent giving a good sign, Ohayon agreed to cut his salary and agreed until the end of the 2021/22 season. “I am happy to continue at the club and happy that we have found a way to create a fruitful collaboration to the satisfaction of all parties,” the coordinator said after the signing.
Ohayon arrived in Holon from Hapoel Jerusalem and started the season in good shape, but an injury complicated him further down the road and he was unable to help the Purples reach the Final Four. During the regular season, the quarterback averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 assists. His stay is a relief for Holon, who had to say goodbye to captain Shlomi Harush last week following the economic damage caused by the Corona crisis.
“I am full of appreciation for Yogev, who at a difficult time came to the club to find the golden path,” said chairman Eitan Lanciano. Now, Holon will hope to reach an agreement with Guy Pnini, who has signed with the team for the upcoming game season.
