Minister Tzipi Hotovli was appointed today (Sunday) to the position of Israeli Ambassador to London, England. Therefore, Hotovli will resign from her position as Minister of Settlement, and will be replaced by Tzachi Hanegbi.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about the transition at the beginning of the cabinet meeting: “I would like to say goodbye to Minister Hotovli. Tzipi, I would like to thank you for years of dedicated work, both in the Knesset and in the government. You have been my Deputy Foreign Minister for years.
I was impressed by your dedicated work, your willingness to learn things and also to stand up for things – to stand up for our rights here in our country, to stand up for justice in the international struggle. I am sure that these qualities and this experience will be reflected in the most important thing for the State of Israel in the important place you are going to, in England. We know there are no simple challenges there and you have a big job to do. I’m sure you will succeed. ”
Energy Minister Dr. Yuval Steinitz congratulated Hotovli on taking office: “Dear Tzipi Hotovli, I am sure from my acquaintance with you that you will do an excellent job as Ambassador to London and become a favorite of the British in the Kingdom and the Jewish community.
In any case, I assure you that you will not be alone there either. My colleagues and I will surely arrive soon and take advantage of your good services. Good luck to you, Laor and the girls. ”
MK Katie Sheetrit added: “My dear Tzipi, Ali and succeed in your new position as Israeli Ambassador to London. I have no doubt that you will make a difference there as well. Your success, our success!”
