Foreign Affairs adjusted the travel advice for Greece on Tuesday. The country will become an orange zone for departing travelers: Belgians must be able to present a negative corona test there from 17 August.

The measure will therefore only apply from next Monday, but the travel advice has already been adjusted “to give travelers from our country the time to order such a test”, says Foreign Affairs spokesman Karl Lagatie. Nothing will change for Belgians who are traveling to Greece this week, he emphasizes.

The corona test must be no more than 72 hours old. The measure applies to travelers entering Greece by air as well as by land.

The mandatory corona test also applies to travelers from the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain and Sweden, the Reuters news agency had previously announced.
