‘FC Barcelona pariah Arthur wanted to go to Barça-Napoli, but Camp Nou has been expelled’

Remarkable news from Barcelona: midfielder Arthur Melo has been kicked out of Camp Nou in the run-up to the Champions League match between FC Barcelona and Napoli. Several Spanish media report this.

Arthur is leaving for Juventus this summer and has been at war with FC Barcelona for weeks. Although he is reportedly already in the process of terminating his contract, he still wanted to go to Barça-Napoli on Saturday evening. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, among others, he was not allowed to enter the stadium. FC Barcelona plays in an empty stadium and can only invite a limited number of guests. Arthur was not on the list and was therefore not allowed to sit in the stands.

The Brazilian has not played since June 27: he then fell in against Celta de Vigo just before time, a few days later his transfer to Juventus was announced to the world. Arthur traveled to Brazil after the Primera División season and initially refused to return. Later he came back to Catalonia to have his contract dissolved.

The fact that Arthur turned out not to be necessary against Napoli was already a sign on the wall. The Catalans have problems in midfield: Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal are not there due to a suspension.
