Eight regional members were told between Tuesday and Wednesday morning that they had tested positive for the corona virus.
This is evident from a new statistic from the RIVM. It concerns five Westlanders, two people from Maassluis and a resident of the municipality of Midden-Delfland.
This brings the provisional total for this week (since Monday) to 25. For comparison: in the past three full weeks, 63, 60 and 13 people from our region were tested positive respectively.
Almost 600 regional members
The corona virus has now been diagnosed in 592 region members. Most of them come from Westland: 407. In Maassluis 144 people were tested positive and in the municipality of Midden-Delfland 41.
No new hospitalizations and deaths from the coronavirus have been reported.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister of Health Hugo de Jonge are pulling the reins again, given the nationwide increasing number of infections. For example, people are urged to invite no more than six people into the house, whereby everyone must be able to keep a distance of 1.5 meters. The advice also remains to work from home as much as possible.
Furthermore, it remains unimpaired that everyone stays at home with complaints and is tested. This way, the greatest part of the infections can be prevented.
