David Hallyday, son of French-Belgian rock singer Johnny Hallyday, who passed away in 2017, renounces the legacy of his father. His lawyer announced this on Friday. Johnny Hallyday’s legacy was the subject of a legal battle for over two years.

Johnny Hallyday left his fortune to his last wife, Laeticia Hallyday, and their two adopted Vietnamese daughters. His two children from previous marriages received nothing. Laura Smet and David Hallyday then went to court to claim part of the inheritance.

David Hallyday has now decided to terminate the procedure, according to his lawyer Pierre-Jean Douvier. “David gets nothing,” it sounds, “and he asks nothing.” “He turned the page.”

Earlier this month, widow Laeticia Hallyday’s lawyer also announced that a “final agreement” had been reached with Johnny’s daughter Laura Smet. The details of that agreement were not disclosed.
