Police today (Saturday) located a verified Corona patient at the Club Hotel in Eilat, where he stayed with his family for three days. The patient was fined NIS 5,000 and removed from the city with his family. Upon receiving the report, the YSM police arrived at his hotel room in protective suits, informing the patient that he was violating the “Public Health” order and that he should leave the place immediately and return to the isolation place at his home in a northern community.

According to an initial inspection by the police force at the place, it emerged that the patient had been in Eilat since yesterday, was a guest and also used the hotel pool. “The police officers acted with a real risk to their health and all with the aim of protecting public peace,” the police statement said.

Concurrent with the arrest, the Ministry of Health updated that 1,358 people had been diagnosed in Corona since Friday morning. This increased the number of verified infections in Israel to 72,163.
